Commercial Clients - Sample Projects
The following represent some of the recent commercial client experience of our consultants:
- Moran Technology Consulting was engaged to provide project management for a team of over 40 client staff and 15 external consultants who were re-designing the core business processes of two multi-billion dollar insurance company business units to streamline operations and improve customer responsiveness.
- Our consultants conducted organizational assessments of several IT departments within a global IT organization to measure their effectiveness and re-align objectives with internal business customers.
- Justifying replacement of legacy applications was a challenge for a large financial services company. MTC was engaged to develop a business case to re-architect a major financial application using Service Oriented Architecture concepts and business rules engine technology to allow more rapid response to new revenue opportunities. A parameter-driven cost-benefit model was created, allowing all critical assumptions to change as estimates were refined.
- For a large consumer products company, we worked with them as they embarked on choosing an enterprise wide human resources solution for their domestic and international workforces. Our team led the effort to understand the current environment as a means to defining requirements for the new solution. We worked with the client as they defined their strategy for moving forward.
- To reduce the cost of IT operations, a Fortune 500 company chose to outsource its US infrastructure. Our consultants were engaged to project manage the cost/benefit analysis, RFP development, and vendor selection.
- A large manufacturer of electronic products and systems needed a new e-mail solution. We provided our expertise by interviewing the global users, defining the requirements, and working with the client to make a package selection.
