February 2, 2009 - Moran Technology Consulting offers Identity Theft Red Flags Compliance Services

The Identity Theft Red Flags Rule, issued November 9, 2007 by the Federal Trade Commission, went into effect on January 1, 2008. Compliance is now required by May 1, 2009. The Red Flags Rule requires financial institutions and creditors to develop and implement a written identity theft prevention program to detect, prevent, and respond to patterns, practices, or specific activities that may indicate identity theft.
